Prasa's Unusual Mess

Differences of opinion between Prasa Chairperson, Popo Molefe and CEO, Lucky Montana have recently become increasingly apparent over the past week.

Prasa Chairman Popo Molefe said the board had decided Montana should leave the organisation immediately because he hadn’t stuck to the conditions of serving out his notice and not because of the current controversy about a Spanish locomotive tender.

Transport Analyst, Paul Browning spoke to Africa Melane on Weekend Breakfast where he explained that the drama that is currently unfolding at Prasa has to do with the two parties who disagree.

It's not the first time that the Chair and the CEO of a state owned institution have had differences of opinion - we've seen it with the SABC and Eskom - but what's happened there is that it's all done behind relatively closed doors ... this one is right out in the public domain.
