It is reported that firefighters who reported for duty an hour late should be sent home and EMS Management has told firefighters who refuse to work after 4pm are ‘absconding from work’ and the ‘no work, no pay rule’ will apply.
This follows the outcome of the deadlocked labour bargaining council meeting between EMS and unions representing firefighters last week.
