Financial Times newspaper published a 20-page interview with President Jacob Zuma’s former spokesperson Mac Maharaj in which he says that he advised Zuma to prepare to pay back some of the money that was spent by government on his home in Nkandla.
Stephen spoke to political analyst, Somadoda Fikeni, who says that he is surprised at the alleged comments by the former spokesperson. He adds:
I am more surprised that the advice wouldn't have come earlier from a seasoned person like Maharaj. I am relieved that Maharaj gave the advice but it is worrying that it wasn't taken— Somadoda Fikeni, Political Analyst
