Musicians, family, fans celebrate Mandoza's life

Minister of Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa has urged youth to emulate the late Kwaito legend Mandoza by always striving for excellence.

Mthethwa gave the keynote address at the memorial service of Mduduzi Tshabalala, popularly known as Mandoza, who passed away on Sunday after a long battle with cancer.

EWN reporter, Dineo Bendile says musicians and fans are paying tribute to the 38-year-old legend by singing and emulating his songs, such as Nkalakatha, 50/50.

If I would use the Kwaito term I would say 'sekushubile' at the moment. People are enjoying themselves. They are enjoying Mandoza's music.

Dineo Bendile, EWN reporter

Even the Arts and Culture Minister was saying we are not here to grief, we are here to celebrate his music.
