LeadSA: Character Company, growing boys of integrity

Character Company is a Non Profit Company which focuses on young boys helping them to grow into good men by instilling honourable values. Founded three years ago, they’re goal is to help to change South Africa's current culture of violence and abuse through this initiative.

They run weekly programmes for groups of no more than 5 boys at a time, have weekend activities and holiday camps. The ultimate goal is to have men whose lives are guided by "The 5 Values"

  • Be Respectful
  • Be Honest
  • Practice Self discipline
  • Have Courage
  • Be Kind

CapeTalk/702’s Koketso Sechane (standing in for Redi Tlhabi) spoke to Jaco van Schalkwyk, Founder and Director of Character Company:
