702 Small Business Awards

Want to be your own boss? It's not easy; this game will teach you how...

Gift Nkuna Projects, founded in 2004, is a South African game based learning and inspirational consultancy that is tuned into entrepreneurship.

Gift has created a unique game called "The Superpreneur" which exposes a learner to a world of business and the challenges, choices and consequences that real, world-class entrepreneurs are faced with.

Gift Nkuna Projects was nominated by Takalane Lethole.

Takalani recently used this company to train uneducated, elderly female rural farmers in Venda.

Their elderly farmers were happy with this company. They not only understood the training content but most of the farmers have started implementing what they were taught through Gift Nkuna Projects immediately after the training.

Takalani says that Gift Nkuna Project facilitators are passionate about their work and the programme is designed in a way that anyone can grasp the content.

We took the complex learning content for entrepreneurship training and converted it into a playable game. We used the game as an intervention tool. We simulate real life business platforms and teach the concepts and principles that govern any business.
