In 2014 Julian Hewitt left the Pretoria suburb he and his family stayed in, to spend a month living in nearby Mamelodi. Among the lessons learned from the Hewitt's experience, was the impact of dense shack living compared to the erf based, brick and mortar living they were used to.
Speaking to 702's Azania Mosaka, Hewitt says there’s no question that sleep disorders are a drag on the economy when it comes to lost productivity, medical expenses and mental wellbeing.
