The Tourists Guide to Botswana

Getaway Magazine Deputy Editor, Tyson Jopson and his colleague spent 6 weeks in Botswana recently. He shares the highlights from his trip to The Chobe National Park on Weekend Breakfast.

Without a doubt [Botswana has] arguably the best wildlife destination in the world, and Chobe National Park was a really big highlight!

Travel Journalist, Tyson Jopson

Jopson explains that the best chances anyone has of seeing game is at the Chobe National Park in Botswana, where lions hunt big game such as buffalo, leopards skulk through the marshland and herds of elephant spend their days chugging water while packs of wild dogs bask in the afternoon sun. The experience of being isolated from the rest of the world is a "real return to nature" according to Jopson.

After having spent 6 weeks checking out all the best off-road spots that the country has to offer Jopson gave it a solid thumbs up in his review of the country.

Getaway Magazine is publishing a Guide to Botswana that will be included in their October issue for adventurers looking to explore a different part of Southern Africa.

Africa was left salivating for a safari holiday after his conversation with Jopson, listen to all of the details below:
