Walk 256,6kms in the desert - for fun!

It's not everyday you hear someone share that they willingly walked through the Karoo desert, but Melanie van Zyl's experience may convince anyone to walk through the desert for fun.

The Tankwa Camino was started by Danie and Rhina Pieterse and is in its third year of running, this year 50 people tackled it in April and Getaway Magazine travel writer and photographer, Melanie van Zyl was one of the brave participants.
