They say that a funeral is not a day in a lifetime but a lifetime in a day. It is fitting then that the memory of the funeral should be one that you treasure for a lifetime.

When Marian lost her mother, she called on funeral directors Collinge and Co to handle the cremation. She says the owner did amazing things that they did not expect. He sent two staff members to the funeral to play the music, look after the sound system and to welcome guests. After the funeral they delivered the death certificate.

Marian says the company was helpful and very professional.

She says they left her a CD that dealt with grief and how to remember your loved one while getting on with life.

Marian says this company is the best, compassionate and very professional. She has nominated them for this year's Small Business Awards with Sage One and 702.

Mike and Nina Collinge started their funeral company in 2001 after working for a large funeral company for 10 years. The company caters for any family that requires a personalised, dignified funeral or rite of passage.

The company is also involved in creating study courses for funeral directors to improve the quality of service to bereaved families.

What don't want the family to have to worry about the nitty gritty. We want to give them time to deal with their emotions and grief.
