Police Minister Nathi Nhleko has made a presentation to Parliament's Police Portfolio Committee about his plan to address problems in public order policing.
Nhleko told MPs that a panel of experts from South Africa and abroad would be appointed to review public order policing, however, he wouldn't specify when the panel would start working.
The panel would be given a year to complete its investigation and a further three months to compile a report, said the minister.
702's Xolani Gwala spoke to EWN reporter Rahima Essop to unpack Nhleko's presentation.
