Passenger Rail Agency of SA chairperson Popo Molefe says the board was shocked by Public Protector Thuli Madonsela's damning findings as they only found out about the investigation in March this year.
Molefe today said the board would help Madonsela with the new investigation; strengthen internal controls; take legal action against individuals implicated in the report; and internally deal with others implicated in wasteful expenditure.
When asked who exactly they'd be taking legal action against, Molefe said the board wouldn't be naming individuals at this stage. On Lucky Montana taking the report to court, Molefe said that was the former Prasa CEO's prerogative.
