Laws around evictions dissected

Attorney for rights group Lawyers for Human Rights, Louise du Plessis, talked about a test case that is heading to court about the protection of tenants' rights in the event of an eviction order.

Du Plessis has described the actions of the Red Ants as 'violent'.

The Red Ants is a company that carries out evictions of people living illegally in dilapidated buildings.

Du Plessis added that it's the responsibility of local government to find alternative accommodation for evicted tenants.
