Kevin Anderson said after winning his first grand slam that it was a great match.
“It was the best match for me. My body feels great and I’m taking one ball at a time.”
Anderson caused one of the US Open’s biggest upsets and also advanced to the quarter finals of a grand slam for the first time in his career.
He beat Britain’s Andy Murray in the fourth round at Flushing Meadows in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Anderson said he hopes to inspire South African children who want to play tennis professionally one day.
“My hope is for the kids watching to have goals and aspirations and know that it is possible. I am happy to represent SA.”
Keeping focused the tennis player said he is getting ready for tomorrow’s match.
