Today's Big Stories, Joburg Ecomobility Festival: All you need to know

EcoMobility: All you need to know about commuting into Sandton

With just a few days left until the Eco Mobility Festival in Sandton, more questions arise over the logistics.

The EcoMobility Festival, starting on October 5 and ending on October 31, aims to encourage riding, walking or taking public transport into the Sandton CBD.

Plan your trip

Stephen Grootes spoke to Lisa Seftel, Executive Director for Transport in the City of Joburg, about the logistics of getting into Sandton next month.

Seftel said there is hope that roadworks and the necessary signage and infrastructural requirements on West Street in Sandton will be complete by October.

She added that park-and-ride services will be available for people using cars. Innesfree Park, Randburg Square and a few others are free of charge, operating from 5am until 9pm. There are malls also participating as an option to park your car and ride into Sandton, charging R10 a day.

Seftel urged commuters to plan their trips.
