Premium clothing with a street edge

Tshediso Leanya, founder of FRQNCY, today told 702's Azania Mosaka that he has had a dream of starting his own clothing label since his varsity days.

“Growing up I was always exposed to clothes and my parents always took me to places where proper clothes were sold.”

Listen: Tshediso Leanya talks about his love for fashion and his label FRQNCY.

Leanya came up with the name FRQNCY in late 2012 and started the label in 2013.

He said his influences include the street.

A suit isn’t always something you wear in corporate situations. It can be worn with a t-shirt.
