Redi Tlhabi this morning took calls from listeners about what they would like President Jacob Zuma to do. This was prompted by Yusuf Abramjee's open letter to the president, addressing the fear and reality of crime for many South Africans. Abramjee also gave suggestions about what Zuma needs to do.
Some of the listeners' suggestions were that the president needs to take whistleblowers seriously and afford them protection; address the high rape and murder rate; train the army as an extended police force; and stop giggling when discussing serious matters.
