Abramjee and Naidoo have their say on #DearYusuf debate

Lead SA and Crime Line head Yusuf Abramjee's open letter to President Jacob Zuma about crime in South Africa had social media buzzing with #DearMrPresident. And now an article about Abramjee's political past has triggered a #DearYusuf storm.

Today, Redi Tlhabi spoke to Subethri Naidoo, who authored the article in 2012 in which she claimed that Abramjee was an apartheid government collaborator. Naidoo said she could not exactly call Abramjee a spy but she could certainly call him a collaborator.

Tlhabi then spoke to Abramjee about his take on Naidoo's claims and asked him to respond to listeners' calls about the matter.

Abramjee refuted Naidoo's claims as "nonsense" and a "smear campaign". He said he had nothing to hide about his past, adding that his family fell victim to apartheid laws like everybody else.
