Nedlac has granted Numsa a certificate to go on a socio-economic march against corruption, but it only becomes valid in two weeks.
This means that if Numsa members join next week’s Unite Against Corruption marches planned in Cape Town and Pretoria they won’t be protected.
The standing committee that considered the application met in Johannesburg again on Friday and granted the certificate after an agreement could not be reached with the Presidency, Treasury and Business Unity SA.
Talks reached a stalemate when the parties met again at Nedlac’s headquarters this morning.
