It was reported this morning, that adoptive parents are taking to the Labour Court in a bid to qualify for maternity leave rights.
Cape Talk/702's Ray White spoke to vice-chairperson of the National Adoption Coalition, Sue Krawitz who believes that in fairness, there should be similar rights for adoptive parents.

Maternity rights for adoptive parents are currently practiced by very few institutions in South Africa. Stellenbosch University and Parliament lead the way in South Africa. They offer up to four months' leave to mothers who adopt a baby.
