Comedians back Trevor Noah to pull perfect Daily Show start

South African comedian Trevor Noah will officially take over from Jon Stewart as he hosts his first ever episode of The Daily Show today.

Noah said he was feeling a mix of emotions ahead of hosting his first ever episode of The Daily Show.

To mark this special event, 702's Azania Mosaka hosted comedians Loyiso Gola, Ndumiso Lindi and Jason Goliath.

Listen to their wise cracks below:

The cool and calm Noah said he was going through all kinds of feelings ahead of his first show.

I am nervous, excited and happy.

He likened the experience to skydiving.

You control none of the elements. You control not the air nor the bird that may fly into you. All you know is that the ground is coming towards you, and you just have to rely on what you’ve done until that point to get you to where you need to go, and that is what I’m doing right now.

Trevor Noah, comedian

The show will be recorded today and aired in South Africa tomorrow at 9pm on Comedy Central.
