The Daily Show with Trevor Noah debuted last night in the US, with the South African comedian facing the challenge of Jon Stewart being a tough act to follow.
EWN entertainment reporter Nadia Neophytou spoke to 702's John Robbie about the reception Noah got after his debut.
Neophytou said Noah's debut was met largely with positive reaction, with a lot of people saying he is funnier than Stewart. There were however a few conservatives who did not receive him well, mostly due to his outsider status and concern that he will not have a good grasp of American issues.
She said Noah was very composed and if he was nervous, as he said he was, he didn't seem so. She added that Noah mentioned his home country, which would go be well received back home.
