Joburg Ecomobility Festival: All you need to know

How will the EcoMobility Festival affect you?

The EcoMobility Festival due to start next week has been met with mixed reaction from motorists around Joburg.

Some said it was a huge inconvenience for business and it was going to cause a massive traffic congestion.

Commuters have been advised to use park-and-ride facilities in designated areas around the city.

Some lanes will be closed in the Sandton CBD, while extra lanes have been created for public transport.

The initiative aims to reduce congestion and encourage motorists to use buses, cycle lanes and walk ways for the month.

702's Azania Mosaka unpacked the initiative with the City of Joburg's transport department representative Lisa Seftel.
