Cape butcher goes bold with boerewors font for Heritage Day

Nothing makes a statement like some braai vleis.

As the country dusts off its grills and tongs in preparation for Heritage Day/Braai Day (Saturday 24), local butcher Frankie Fenner has made sure South Africans get to "say it with wors".

The butchery, with branches in Claremont, Woodstock and the CBD, has partnered with agency 34° to create an entire alphabet out of boerewors-shaped symbols.

The letters were all shaped from sausage before they were photographed and converted into the original font.

The website allows users to type in their meaty message before translating it into wors, and downloading it to share on which ever social media platform.

Alternatively the site generates a random Heritage Day message if users click 'mince'.

You can find the font at www.sayitwithwors.co.za.
