While there is furor that local films are not getting enough screen-time at big cinemas, one particular SA film is making waves internationally.
The film Ayanda, is quickly increasing its global footprint as US director and filmmaker, Ava DuVernay has snapped up the local movie for international distribution.
The film, set in Yeoville, Johannesburg, tells the story of a young Afro-hipster making the transition to adulthood.
