Pay back the money, Rich People! – Thomas Piketty

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Thomas Piketty, author of the bestselling “Capital in the Twenty-First Century”.

Piketty – probably the most famous economist in the world – was in South Africa to address the 13th Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture.

Piketty proposed an annual, low-rate wealth tax and a minimum wage to start correcting the “disturbing” rise in inequality in South Africa since the end of apartheid.

In this interview Piketty shares his views on the world and South Africa.
