Nkandla court bid will shed light on powers of my office - Thuli Madonsela

Public Protector Thuli Madonsela will join the Economic Freedom Fighters' (EFF) legal battle to compel President Jacob Zuma to comply with her Nkandla report.

The Constitutional Court ordered that she join to the matter as a third respondent, and Madonsela has until the end of October to file court papers.

Madonsela said the legal battle could provide clarity on the authority of the Public Protector's office.

We will participate in arguments. Our main concern is to ensure that the court arrives at a correct decision regarding the powers of the Public Protector.
