BMF has always prioritised economic transformation - Bonang Mohale

Bonang Mohale has reached the end of his term as the president of the Black Management Forum (BMF), handing over the reigns to his successor Mncane Mthunzi.

Mohale leaves the BMF at a time when black CEOs in the JSE companies had dropped and concerns raised that BMF hasn't been effective in transformation issues.

CapeTalk and 702 presenter Redi Tlhabi spoke to Mohale about his tenure as the leader of the BMF as well as the forum's relevance.

Listen to the full conversation from The Redi Tlhabi Show:

He made a commitment to serve for a single term as the BMF's president and said his mandate was a combination of boosting investment in black business and transformation of the South African economy.

According to Mohale, corporate membership at the BMF has increased four-fold and individual members have grown by 134%.
