Radovan Krejcir: Cops leave nothing to chance

Authorities took no chances as heavy security was deployed at the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg where Czech businessman Radovan Krejcir appeared for sentencing procedures.

About 22 heavily armed officers, some in riot gear, most carrying automatic weapons, lined the walls of the courtroom. Even journalists were prevented from using plug points as a precaution.

702's Xolani Gwala spoke to EWN reporter Mandy Wiener about the heavy security detail.

Listen to the conversation below:

Krejcir was scheduled to be sentenced after being convicted of attempted murder and kidnapping last month but the matter was postponed.
