'All the cards seem to fall in the Springboks' favour'

The Springboks meet Wales in what promises to be a tight Rugby World Cup quarterfinal at Twickenham, London this Saturday.

For much of their recent history, matches between Wales and the Springboks have ended in close scores. In their last meeting in November last year, Wales beat the Boks 12 – 6 in Cardiff.

Reporting from London, EWN sports editor Jean Smyth said the selected team seems fit enough to give their best during the match.

Listen to the full conversation from CapeTalk's Breakfast with Kieno Kammies:

From the Springbok perspective, it has been a pretty good week. I spent quite a lot of the time at their camp, and they look quite confident.

Jean Smyth, EWN sports editor

The Springboks will be captained by Fourie du Preez, after Victor Matfield failed to recover from a hamstring injury.

The winner of the Boks vs Wales match will meet either New Zealand or France in the semi-finals.
