Armed with a selfie stick, his signature wit and good dose of South African optimism, CapeTalk presenter John Maytham has taken on London for the remainder of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
He enjoys his leg of the #JohnOnTour chronicles after his namesake John Robbie lived the London experience for his 702 listeners earlier this month.
Along with his show producer Stephan Lombard, John jetted off to London on Friday.
After a 12 hour flight, they finally arrived in London. It didn't take the pair long to embark on a local pub crawl.
Checked into hotel. Put on Bok shirt and scarf. Off to find a pub near the stadium. Go bokke #JohnOnTour— CapeTalk on 567AM (@CapeTalk) October 17, 2015
And it appears its a tough job indulging in London's finest beverages.
R70 for a double latte; R20 to pee it out later. Expensive business, being #JohnOnTour— CapeTalk on 567AM (@CapeTalk) October 17, 2015
John took the opportunity work on his selfie game at the nail-biting SA v Wales match.
He has taken in some beautiful views, including this famous 87-storey skyscraper in Southwark peering in the backgorund.
Nothing like a good roast coffee to start the day off right, before taking a cable car along the Thames.#JohnOnTour
John speaks to a South African living in London, Neleen Strauss, owner of High Timber restaurant.
