Dr Helgo Schomer explores the psychology behind giving and receiving advice. According to Dr Schomer, research shows that good advice is true and concrete – being proven through history and life experiences.
He says the receiver doesn't always have to take the advice if they don't want it but be polite in declining.

Dr Schomer says that the person delivering advice should be persuasive and credible, they should give options and don't dictate.
He further said that advice should be evidence based not just hearsay.
