Numsa challenges expulsion as Cosatu affiliate:

Irvin Jim - General Secretary of the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) - says their expulsion from the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu), is the result of corrupt leaders who are serving their own interests instead of the interests of the working class.

Striking post office workers get served:

EWN reports indicate that the Communication Workers Union (CWU) say their members that have been on strike for four months at the South African Post Office have received dismissal letters. CWU says the letters were issued on Friday. Workers are demanding a 7.5 percent pay hike but the employer has since rejected the offer.

Charisma News and other web sources have cited a crash landing to be responsible for the death of charismatic speaker and preacher, Dr Myles Munroe and eight other people on board. The Bajan preacher, his wife, daughter and other members of his team were all set to land at the Grand Bahama International Airport when the tragedy reportedly occurred.
