Speaking on 702's John Robbie Show, the MP tasked with disciplinary matters of the ruling party, ANC Chief Whip Stone Sizani maintains that Parliamentary Speaker Baleka Mbete hasn't 'lost control' of Parliament. Sizani's comments follow after the setting up of a multi-party committee in Parliament to address tensions in Parliament. Sizani adds: "The biggest problem is when the Members of Parliament ignore the rules of Parliament, ignore any command, instruction or ruling of the Speaker." Listen to the full conversation below:

EWN Parliamentary Correspondent Gaye Davis on this story: Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa appears to have steered Parliament from the brink of a crisis, brokering a deal aimed at defusing tensions. Opposition parties went into crisis talks with Ramaphosa on Tuesday, seeking assurances that President Jacob Zuma would come and answer Members of Parliament (MPs questions before year-end. Opposition leaders also requested a promise that there would be no more police action in the National Assembly and speaker Baleka Mbete be replaced.
