Kelly Khumalo reflects on life after Senzo Meyiwa

Today marks exactly one month since Bafana Bafana Captain, Senzo Meyiwa, was shot at Kelly Khumalo's home. The police have reported that all leads in the case to find Meyiwa's murderers has gone cold.

In the days and weeks following Meyiwa's death there was lots of controversy after the Meyiwa family announced that Khumalo ,who is the mother of Meyiwa's child, would not be welcome at her deceased boyfriend's funeral.

In recent weeks, Khumalo has been spotted attending award shows and has recently released her single _"Asine". _Which has led to raised eyebrows from many who believe that she should still be in mourning.

Speaking to Xolani on 702 Khumalo said that she has had to pick up the pieces and head back to work because she is a mother, and she must work for her children.

I never seek for people's approval, because at the end of the day I am the one who has to mother my children and I the one that has to pay my bills. I am the one that has to pick up the pieces and carry on with my life, and no-one will be there for me as far as I'm concerned ... at the end of the day it's about me, and what's best for me and the people in my life.
