It's raining money in Berea!

If you happened to be in Berea (a suburb in Joburg), and thought that 'Hallelujah' it is raining money, you wouldn't be far from wrong. A DRC man, Didier Shombo, otherwise known as 'Little Jesus' is literally giving his money away.

702's John Robbie heard about this and called for listeners to shed some light on this charitable act from what seems to be a modern-day Robin Hood.

The first call came from Gideon, who claimed to be a friend of Shombo, stating he was just showing off:

Then the man of the moment called in and explained why he is doing this. Robbie managed to ascertain that he is not throwing money out of his car as alleged, but has a foundation which helps people and that he has been doing this for a while.

I was raised by people who helped me... so I don't have an issue helping people...

Didier Shombo

The team at 702 thought that this was too good to be true and so sent a videographer to investigate, to film this miraculous deed.

So whether you are like Gideon, who thinks Shombo is just showing off or like those who believe he is truly a 'Little Jesus', perhaps go see for yourself and take a huge bag with you, just in case it starts raining again.

Here's the video...
