5km Fun Walk: |
A fun walk open to anyone and everyone. A safe secure route for children, junior walkers, prams, dogs on leashes, disabled or pensioners, the fit or the unfit! |
8km Walk: |
We expect up to 20 000 walkers to support this Walk – and enjoy – open to all, corporates, clubs, families and friends, an event for the entire community. |

Discovery is the founder member of the South African arm of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which uses sport to bring about positive social change. History of the race: |
The first event took place in 2 000 with 12 000 entrants. In 2004, 25 000 walkers took to the streets of Joburg over the four distances. In 2006 with a revamped and restructured Discovery 702 Walk the Talk we had 30 000 walkers, and in 2007 40 000 participants took part in the event. |
