Talk Radio 702 and 567 CapeTalk were the primary media partners of the CCLA Awards. |

“When we heard about this initiative we were very keen to get involved as climate change is an issue of great relevance in our listeners’ lives. As a responsible media company we saw this as an opportunity to influence a large audience to make changes in their lives, to combat climate change,” said Terry Volkwyn, CEO of Primedia Broadcasting which owns the stations.
To prove that the stations are not just talk and no action, the entire company underwent a green audit recently, to gauge its impact on the environment. The broadcaster will now be looking at ways to reduce its carbon footprint, including educating their staff, and engaging their suppliers on their impact on the environment. Furthermore they plan to share their experiences with listeners who can learn from them. |
