In this city we love to hate the weather – especially when it ruins a perfectly good Valentines Day.

Unfortunately we had to cancel the Solid Gold Session on Sunday the 14th of February, but the good news is we’ve rescheduled the event for Sunday the 7th of March.

If you bought a ticket for the original date, it’s still valid for the new one.

Building on the immense popularity of Talk Radio 702’s Solid Gold Weekends, the station, together with Emperor’s Palace has started bringing the music to life with Solid Gold Sessions.

The first session for 2010 will be special at the immaculate Peermont D’Oreale Grand Hotel’s Garden of Vespasian at Emperors Palace as the Solid Gold Band takes you down memory lane.

Bring your loved ones, picnic blankets and umbrellas and lie back to enjoy a mix of hits from the 60’s 70’s and 80’s. It’s a rare opportunity to enjoy the nostalgia of your favourite golden oldies and you may find that as the band heats up you want to kick off your shoes, grab your sweetheart and dance away the afternoon.

Tickets cost R65 from Computicket and include a picnic hamper, sunblock and cap.

Please note that no food, alcohol or glasses will be allowed into the venue.
