The Wild Buggers Beach Buggy Club, which has been in existence for 10 years, does a charity run once a year. On Sunday the 4th of April we will be going to the Durbanville children’s home (Cape Town) to spend the day entertaining the kids with jumping-castles, taking them for a spin in our Beach Buggys and braaiing for them. The club is paying for everything. We will also donate anything of use like old clothes, food, pens, pencils, books, toothpaste and brushes etc. etc. anything that school kids who have nothing can use. Come on pack out your kids cupboards and gooi in a bag what you don’t need anymore. If there are any good Samaritans out there that would like to donate something (anything) for this purpose, please contact us. Or if you have a Beach Buggy come and join us for the day. Trials is one of the most challenging, yet least expensive motor sports. It requires control of your suspension via peg and bar weight, precise throttle control, fingering both clutch and brake to negotiate the obstacles within the section. The skill of riding is such that motor tuning is almost non existent. Due to the extreme level of riding skill required, as opposed to machinery and money thrown at the problem, the sport of Trials riding has been included in the 2008 Olympics.

Turn left to Robert Broom Drive and take the Roodepoort turn off. About 6Km along just past The Watch Tower Center, turn right at the robots into The Manie Mulder Adventure Center. From Johannesburg & Roodepoort Take Ontdekkers towards Krugersdorp, past Westgate Shopping Center, and past Princess Crossing Shopping area. Angela's Picnic Here is a short history on the origin of Angela's Picnic: Angela was involved in Morgan's for a large part of her life and owned a pink Morgan. She was diagnosed with cancer and decided that she would like to combine her love for cars with an event where money could be raised for Cancer research. Angela Heinz was a remarkable lady who arranged this totally laid-back, uncompetitive picnic in the park to give SAMCA members, and the public, the opportunity to see a variety of very special cars in one place. Angela died of cancer some years ago. To this day, the Morgan Club arranges this annual event that has become known as Angela's picnic and your entrance fee into the Delta Park grounds is a donation to the Cancer Association. SAMCA endorses this event and it is well attended by the majority of its Marque clubs. The collection of cars to be seen on Sunday represents a large, ever-diminishing slice of South Africa's motoring heritage and is well worth a visit. Bring with: Pack your picnic baskets (Food stalls will be available), chairs, blankets, umbrellas etc.
