Meet Ismail Mahomed, the man in charge of Newtown’s edgy Market Theatre

Market Theatre CEO Ismail Mahomed has more than three decades’ experience working in the arts sector.

He took over as CEO of the famed Market Theatre in Newtown, Johannesburg in August 2016 after an eight year stint as the Artistic Director of the National Arts Festival.

He has won numerous awards as arts administrator.

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Mahomed for his weekly “ShapeShifter” feature.
