Random Acts of Kindness with Dis-Chem

Random Act of Kindness goes to a home for children with medical conditions

Tshwane Haven is celebrating the Random Act of Kindness from Dis-chem Foundation, that will change lives of children they look after.

Dis-chem Foundation managing director Lynette Saltzman announced on the Afternoon Drive show that Dis-chem will sponsor the organisation with products worth R10 000 monthly.

We are going to help you with the everyday products that you need. We are from the Dis-chem pharmacies, we are going to be giving you R10 000 worth of goods for a year. You will be covered for the whole year.

Lynette Saltzman, Dis-chem Foundation managing director and founder

The donation will help the centre with day-to-day necessities for children, such as medication, nappies and cosmetics.

For the past nine years, Tshwane Have has looked after 347 children.

The home was established when it was noticed that the Tshwane Place of Safety Association was turning away a large number of children with medical problems.

Karen Bruyere, who had been looking after babies and toddlers affected by a medical condition since 1999, volunteered her services to run Tshwane Haven.

We try and provide a loving home where these children can grow to their full capacity.
