Meet Absa L'Atelier Ambassador Raji Bamidele

Nigerian based Raji Bamidele creates individual pieces, works in a strictly limited world, and focuses mostly on the resilience of the human spirit. The world he imagines is perfectly curated – which tends to cancel out materiality, transferring it to the realm of the spiritual and the alchemical. Governed by a purist approach, he is an expert in hyper-realism. Raji draws inspiration from his experiences that moulded him as young man. His work weaves differing materials and methods belonging both to contemporary and modern art forms, calling into question the existence of time and being.
