Every week The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviews a famous person about her or his attitude to money (hopes and fears, successes and failures, etc.) as part of his weekly “Make Money Mondays” feature.

This week Whitfield interviewed research organisation World Wide Worx Managing Director Arthur Goldstuck.

Goldstuck (born 1959) is a South African journalist, media analyst and – most famously - commentator on Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Internet and mobile communications and technologies.

His weekly gadgets column, “Goldstuck on Gadgets”, is the most widely syndicated technology column in South Africa.

But, what does Goldstuck believe about money?

Listen to the interview in the audio below (and/or scroll down for more quotes from it).

My father was a prisoner of war during the Second World War.

My father grew up in a very poor environment… the idea of going to university was completely alien.

My first account was at the Post Office.

The first freelance piece I wrote was for ‘The Friend’, a local newspaper… I waited patiently for the cheque that never came!

You always have spare if you plan and budget properly…
