Talk Radio 702 and 567 CapeTalk are proud to welcome TV and radio personality, Treasure Tshabalala to the Solid Gold weekend team.

Starting this Saturday, 12 June, Treasure will host Solid Gold Saturday and Solid Gold Sunday from 13h00 to 16h00.

“I am a keen listener to Solid Gold weekends and it is such a privilege to be joining an iconic station like Talk Radio 702,” he said.

Treasure is an experienced broadcaster who was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame at the inaugural MTN Radio awards earlier this year. He has presented on Capital Radio, then-Radio Metro and Jozi FM and has a host of television and film credits to his name including roles in The Gods Must be Crazy, The Shaka Zulu mini series and many appearances on TV series from Generations to Nomzamo. He was also co-presenter of Ngomgqibelo.

“Solid Gold draws a large and loyal audience across both stations and our presenters add much insight to the golden oldies we feature,” said Talk Radio 702 station manager, Pheladi Gwangwa. “We look forward to hearing Treasure’s influence on the show.”
