Rod Stewart is a mad-cap Glasgow Celtic supporter. If you were at his concert at the Coca-Cola Dome on either Saturday or Sunday night, you would have seen him booting footballs into the crowd between songs.
You would also have seen video footage of the pristine football field in his backyard. You would have noticed that his drummers' bass drums are emblazoned with the Glasgow Celtic badge. In fact, Rod is such a Celtic fan, that he took time off on Sunday afternoon to visit the Glasgow Celtic Supporters Club in Johannesburg.
Club President Bill McIntosh hosted Rod to watch the match between Celtic and Hibernian (which Hibs won 2-nil). Most of the club members had seen the Saturday show, but Rod gave them tickets for Sunday's show. The Club has a "wee" charity going at New Jerusalem Children's home in Midrand and Rod gave them a hefty donation. Bill sent us some pictures of Rod with Celtic Supporters Club members.
