By 2020, South Africa will experience a water crisis. Energy prices are expected to increase by more than 53 percent by the end of this year. IBM estimates that globally one million people will move into the world’s cities every week. According to the Green Building Council of South Africa, buildings account for a large amount of land and they consume 40% of the world's energy. Green buildings can reduce this consumption by 30 to 70%.

Organic vegetable growing

It is more and more important for people to grow their own food. Firstly for health’s sake, especially children's health, as it is now well documented that store produce is grown with chemical fertilisers and pesticides.
Cool things to do in parks

This weekend Simon Gear made his Park Run debut at Delta “which was just fantastic”, he says. It brought home to him that we actually live in a spectacular city with amazing parklands. While he was there, he came across a permanent Disc Golf course. Park Runs – really great fun, 5km runs/races held every Saturday at 8am.
