Stolen alarm system

22 January 2021 8:44 AM

Oh boy, this is a goodie! Darren "Whackhead" Simpson's prank victim recently changed his alarm system provider.

Usually, what happens in cases like this, the original provider removes its transmitter from the roof so that the new company can install theirs.

However in this prank, the old company not only took out the transmitter, but they also removed the entire alarm system - i.e all the hardware.

Whackhead calls an already livid Herman and in true prankster fashion, he makes the problem even worse!

If you know someone who’s highly ‘Prankable’, tell us about them. Send us an email to darrens@kfm.co.za or complete this form.

Blood donation gone wrong

20 January 2021 8:34 AM

Darren "Whackhead" Simpson calls up the South African National Blood Services and offers to make a blood donation.

But as you know with Whackhead, there's always an inconvenient catch.

After inquiring about the rules, Whackhead explains that he's cut himself badly and would like to donate the vessel containing his blood.

Cue the most horrendous sound effect!

Premier Alan Winde COVID-19 vaccine update

18 January 2021 8:13 AM

Western Cape's premier, Alan Winde joins Kfm Mornings to explain the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out plan.

"We have got supply coming, there's a single entry point at a national level"

"We've got the promise of a million doses this month, which will be rolled out first thing next month"

"Followed by another half a million - this is for the country - and we'll get our share of it to go to the frontline workers"

"Of course, we're playing our part, we'll get our system in place, so we can roll-out vaccines to everybody across the province, the smallest hamlet, the smallest village and towns across the whole province, between the private and public sector - we will make sure that there's a plan to do this"

CT named one of world’s best places for remote work

15 January 2021 7:40 AM

The coronavirus pandemic has changed the way we live and work.

With companies increasingly adopting permanent work from home policies, it's no surprise that articles listing the top places in the world for remote working are popping up all over the internet.

One such list, published by Big 7 Travel shows our very own Mother City as one of the "50 Best Places For Remote Working In 2021".

Coming in at number 42, Cape Town is described as, "an incredibly connected expat and digital nomad scene from all corners of the globe. The scenery doesn’t hurt, either. Situated right on the water, surrounded by mountains and chockfull of colourful markets and quirky neighbourhoods, Cape Town is all about the atmosphere."
