Marc is an Eyewitness News sports reporter and can be heard every Friday and Sunday on 702.
An award winning sports journalist and a presenter on one of the biggest drive shows in Joburg, Marc manages to balance the big issues of South African sports with the lighter side of life in Jozi.
Marc’s radio career started at university when he joined the campus station and went on to present a weekly show while completing his degree in Journalism and Communications.
He moved on to retail radio for a short while before starting with 947 in 2008, as an overnight music host.
It was during the 2010 World Cup that Marc’s profile as a sports reporter received a major boost as he joined the EWN sports team, covering the matches as well as the sideline stories during the tournament.
He has since become a familiar, respected voice on the EWN sports team and he has for the past three years won Best Sports News Reporter at the SAB Sports Media Awards (2012, 2013, 2014).
In 2014 Marc won for Best Sports News Reporter for his coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He worked solidly for the duration of the 5 week tournament, across the different time zones - flawlessly. In 2015 Marc received an Excellence Award from Minister Fikile Mbalula. The award recognises those who contribute to the world of sport on a daily basis.
