Aki Anastasiou

I love life! I am a very passionate person and enjoy challenges. I would not swop what I am doing for anything. I find technology fascinating and every day I say WOW when I come across a new technology. Helping others in need is one of my life's mantras and it energizes me and leaves me feeling so content to help someone or put a smile on their faces. Follow your dream, I followed mine for a passion in radio from the age of 16 - NOTHING is impossible and there is a solution to everything. My favorite quote is one I made up and that is "expect nothing but accept graciously" but I simply love what George Bernard Shaw said "You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"

PROFILE
What did you want to be when you were little?
I have always had a fascination with airplanes and radio. I wanted to become a pilot but when I discovered radio when I was young I became hooked and have never looked back since - I followed my dream.
What soothes you?
The sea has the most soothing effect on me, I also enjoy gentle sounds of nature I find that very relaxing and soothing.
What irks you?
Dishonesty and injustice irks me big time! It irks me that we live in a world where there are so many wealthy people but yet people are dying of hunger.
Is there a book you read that changed your life?
There are two - the first one is Stephen Covey's Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People and the other is The Richest Man in Babylon by George Clason.
The music you listen to most often?
I am an 80's boy - LOVE the 80's music but I just love most music in general including the 60's and 70's and even the nineties through to today. I also have a huge passion for continental music like Greek and Italian music.
Who would you go to the ends of the earth for?
My family!
Who is your greatest source of inspiration?
People in general, I learn so much from people and people who are less fortunate than myself inspire me to help improve the world in my own way. People like Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama are such amazing human beings that we can all learn so much from these wise people.
Do you have any 'show off' coffee table books in your home?
YES! I just recently purchased the Mandela Authorised Biography.

Ever been left speechless on the air?
